Are you a windsurfing enthusiast or a beginner? The Sainte-Croix Lake in the Verdon is an ideal spot to practice this sport! Accessible to children from the age of 7, windsurfing provides unique sliding sensations.

Windsurf on the Sainte-Croix Lake
The beach of the Surf Center is the perfect location to enjoy a lot of activities on the Sainte-Croix Lake, and especially sailing sports. You can enjoy the thermal wind, the mistral and low pressure winds for your nautical activities.
The thermal wind is prevailing on the lake. Wind blows almost daily between 1 pm and 8 pm, and strengthens in the late afternoon. Its strength is on average 12 to 18 knots.
The easterly wind is a low-pressure wind formed by the upwelling of maritime air mass. This wind is wetter, fairly strong and more regular. A Venturi effect is created between Costebelle Island and the Surf Center, which creates an ideal sailing area for windsurfing.
There is also a mistral with a north, northwest orientation. It’s a strong and gusty wind that will delight the most experienced windsurfers.

Windsurf boards rental
To rent a windsurf board at the Sainte-Croix Lake, come directly to the Surf Center. We will assess your level together to choose your equipment, and make sure you’ll be completely safe while having maximum fun on the water!
Swindsurf boards rental is available all day, subject to good weather conditions and availability of equipment.
From April 13 to May 24 and from September 9 to September 26 :
- from 11 am to 7 pm
From May 25 to July 5 and from August 26 to September 8 :
- from 10 am to 7 pm
From July 6 to August 25 :
- from 9am to 7pm
The Surf Center also provides you with a buoyancy aid per person for each rental. Wearing it is mandatory for every outing on the lake. If the weather is cool, we rent wetsuits and windsurfing shoes.

For our equipment, we work with Fanatic, Duotone, TAHE (formerly BIC Sport), Starboard and Tabou. Our equipment is very regularly renewed, so that we can provide you with quality equipment, regardless of your level.
Windsurf board for kids
Kids from 7 years old can discover this amazing activity! Our sails from 2.5 m2 (3 yd2) to 4.5 m2 (5.3 yd2) enable to start windsurfing at a very young age.
Windsurf board for beginners
You have never windsurfed before? Don’t panic! Our boards for beginners are stable and their sails are light. This equipment is ideal to learn and discover your first gliding sensations on the water.
For your safety, a restricted sailing area will be defined. The Surf Center doesn’t offer sailing lessons, but our team will gladly give you basic advice on how to get started.
Windsurf board for intermediate and advanced levels
If you are autonomous and want to progress at your own pace, we offer stable boards that allow you to easily lift up your sail with a uphaul and to get planing.
Our sails are light and easy to handle for a great ease of use. Thanks to our wide range of equipment, we can provide you with the appropriate equipment according to the wind strength and your level.
Windsurf board for expert levels
For technical windsurfers who are greedy to experience strong sensations, we have fast boards with sails from 5 m2 (6 yd2) to 8.5 m2 (10 yd2). We also offer cam sails for more power and speed. To ensure lightness and comfort, all our masts are made of 75% to 100% carbon. If you need it, we can also provide you a harness.
Foil boards for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels
Looking for something new? Let’s try the foil board on the Sainte-Croix Lake!
Our windsurf boards equipped with foils are specially designed for beginners. These foil boards are very stable and allow a better hold in the air. Their masts are short and limit the height gain.
For intermediate or advanced levels, we also have the equipment to enable you to have a good time!
