From Les Salles-sur-Verdon, get on board for a trip to discover the splendours of the Sainte-Croix Lake and the Verdon Gorges.
Accessible to anyone with a minimum of physical fitness, canoeing is the fastest way to visit the famous Verdon Gorges.
If you want to enjoy your picnic on board, it’s possible. The Surf Center snack bar offers salad or sandwich menus, and prepare it in a packed lunch. Book it in advance and your lunch will be ready for your departure!
You board directly at the Surf center, on the Margaridon beach, at the Sainte-Croix Lake, 83 630 Les Salles-sur-Verdon.
Full-day rental
With your canoe in the Verdon Gorges, you’ll have several options if you go for a day trip!
Fancy a sporting day? Go for a tour of the lake to discover its beauty. Paddle to the Gorges to admire the incredible landscape. It takes about 4 hours to make the round trip.
You just want to relax? Beautiful deserted beaches are right in front of the Surf Center. You can also paddle quietly to a lovely little island nearby. We’re sure you’ll love it!

Once you have made your reservation, you can come whenever you want: your canoe is waiting for you! We advise you to come at the opening of the centre because it’s the perfect time to enjoy the calm of the lake and the cooler temperatures.
An early arrival at the Surf Center will also ensure you to reach the beginning of the Verdon Gorges before the peak hours. You will enjoy this sumptuous landscape in complete tranquillity. What could be better than the feeling that you’re alone in the world?
Half day rental
The morning atmosphere on the Sainte-Croix Lake is our favourite! It’s the ideal time for a canoe trip: it’s not too hot, the colours are beautiful and the lake is peaceful. But beware of sunburn: bring a hat and sun cream!

At the other moments of the day, it’s also possible to rent a canoe. You simply have to come directly on site.
Canoe rental by the hour
You can also rent a canoe by the hour and without reservation for a short trip on the lake. Rental by the hour is possible depending on the availability of boats and good weather.

For each rental, the Surf Center also provides you :
a buoyancy aid (it is mandatory to wear it) ;
a double blade paddle per person ;
a waterproof container of approximately 50 litres per boat.
